Always reliable for beans

I've been using Small-batch-roasting-supplies for a while now, probably my fifth or sixth order. This time I got a bulk order of their Vietnamese Robusta. As usual, the beans were consistent with what I've received before – good quality, no surprises. They shipped fast, arrived in good condition. I keep coming back because I know what I'm getting, and their pricing for trade accounts is always competitive. It's just a reliable source for my green coffee needs, takes the guesswork out of reordering.

Great value on packaging

I was looking to stock up on Coffee Packaging Bags and found a good deal here. The bulk buy savings made it really worth it, much better than other places I checked. The quality of the Kraft Coffee Pouches I got was solid for the price. Saved quite a bit compared to buying smaller quantities.

Detailed feedback on my order

I placed an order for a new roaster bundle last month, which included some Colombian Green Coffee and a selection of Valve Coffee Bags. The ordering process on their website was straightforward; I had my trade account set up previously, so pricing was clear. Shipping was prompt, it arrived within 4 days, well-packaged, and everything was intact. The coffee beans themselves were fresh and uniform, roasted beautifully. The valve coffee bags were of good quality, sealed well, and held up during storage. I had a quick question about the compostable coffee packaging they offer, and customer support replied within a few hours with helpful details. It was a smooth transaction overall, making it easy to recommend them for roasters looking for reliable supplies.

Good quality, fast shipping

I just got some Brazilian Green Coffee beans from here. They got to me pretty quick, like three days, which was awesome. The beans roasted up nicely, tasted really good. I'd definitely order again.

Decent beans, slow delivery

I ordered some Ethiopian Green Coffee a while back. The quality of the beans themselves was solid, no complaints there, good flavor profile after roasting. Delivery, though, took about 5 days to reach Denver. It wasn't terrible, but a bit longer than I hoped. Customer service was responsive when I inquired about the tracking. Overall, a good value for wholesale, but they could probably speed up shipping a little.

how do these guys compare to hasbean wholesale? looking for good quality green beans.

N Noor 1 month ago
Small Batch Roasting focuses more on the B2B side, really good for bulk. Hasbean is great too, but I find SBR's pricing for larger quantities more competitive.

both are solid. I'd say SBR often has a wider range of single origins for wholesale, and their customer service for trade accounts is top-notch.

hey, anyone know if small batch roasting delivers to the US? like to new york, specifically?

J Julia 1 month ago
nah, they're UK-based. pretty sure they only ship within the UK. you'd have to use a freight forwarder or something.

yeah, I checked their site for international shipping a while back, and it was a no-go outside the UK. Bummer, cause their selection looks good.

Are their coffee packaging bags actually compostable or is it just 'eco-friendly' marketing speak?

R Ryan Torres 1 month ago
I've got some of their compostable bags, and they seem legit. they break down faster than other 'eco' bags I've tried.

from what I recall, some are, some aren't. you gotta check the specific product description for each type of bag. they do have genuinely compostable options though.

Do they take normal credit card payments or is it all bank transfers once you have a trade account?

C Carly 1 month ago
I pay with a credit card usually, pretty straightforward. they accept the usual methods.

they accept card payments for sure. I think they also do bank transfers for bigger orders, but plastic works just fine.

Does anyone know if they do Black Friday deals for wholesale? Trying to stock up.

S Steve D. 1 month ago
they usually do! I've snagged some good discounts around then. keep an eye on your email if you're on their newsletter.

yeah, they definitely have Black Friday wholesale sales. good time to get beans and maybe some packaging at a better price.

Thinking of signing up for a trade account. Is it worth it for a small roastery, or is the MOQ gonna be too high?

J James 3 weeks ago
I'm a fairly small operation and I found their minimum order to be pretty manageable. not like you have to buy a whole container.

T Todd J. 2 weeks ago
it's worth it for the pricing alone. the MOQ is definitely geared towards businesses, but not huge ones. just apply, worst they can say is no.

i heard about a new roaster bundle discount, is that still a thing?

A Alex S. 4 weeks ago
I got a new roaster bundle discount when I opened my account a few months ago, so it should still be active. great way to get started.

R Rachel 3 weeks ago
I think so! it's usually tied to setting up a new trade account. definitely ask about it when you apply, can save you a bit.

Can you actually get samples of their green beans before committing to a larger order? Don't want to buy a whole bag sight unseen.

B Brett Foster 1 month ago
yeah, you totally can. I got a sample pack when I was first testing them out. good way to try a few different origins.

S Shane 1 month ago
for sure, they offer samples. just request them through your trade account or contact them directly. it's standard practice for green bean suppliers.
